Chocolate-broccoli.com The blog of Amber Massey, R.D., L.D., includes lots of interesting-sounding healthy recipes I'd like to try (Green Vegetable Risotto, Butternut Squash Enchiladas) and her posts are loaded with practical advice. In one she lists all of her personal favorite portion-controlled foods, such as Justin's Squeeze Pack Nut Butters and Wholly Guacamole 100 calorie packs; in another she lists all the good-for-you items that should be stocked in your pantry, fridge and freezer. The quirky name of her blog, she says on her site, is because there's really nothing you can't eat from chocolate to broccoli. Sounds good to me!
Eatsimply.org is the blog of Ayla Withee, M.S., R.D., L.D.N. Besides the lively blog posts, I loved the Q&A feature. Click on "Your Nutrition Q's" at the top of the home page and learn how you can send your nutrition questions directly to Withee, who will answer them online. Questions ranged from the desperate woman who wanted to know how to slip more vegetables into her veggie-hating husband's diet to someone who had just started the first day of her diet and wanted to know what Withee was eating for lunch that day.
dropitandeat.blogspot.com The blog of Lori Lieberman R.D., M.P.H., C.D.E., L.D.N., is a great site targeted to those seeking help with eating disorders, and includes advice, recipes, food finds and more with the focus on changing one's relationship with food. Lieberman also specializes in diabetes management.
Let me know if you have any favorite nutrition bloggers that you regularly follow.
