Thinkstock78405927_SSBLOG_MONEY_cheapstuffIf it seems like everything just keeps getting more and more expensive, you’ll be happy to learn that 11 things will be cheaper in 2013—at least according to Dealnews.com. So if you’re looking to buy any of these things, you’re in luck:

Redbox streaming videos, Microsoft Surface RT tablets, 60-inch LCD TVs, video game systems, solar power equipment, AMD laptops, e-books, stuff you buy on your smart phone, computer hard drives, smart phones, and, finally, gas (it's about time on that one!). Get some more details here

And now for the bad news: 12 things will cost more this year. No surprise, food is on the list, what with the drought messing everything up last year. And believe it or not, buying a fuel-efficient car will cost more this year, because the standards are getting tougher, so it’ll cost more to make them. But in the long run, of course, it’s a good thing.

Tuition is going up, shipping costs are rising, and, oh dear, beer prices might rise… See what else is heading up here.

Good luck balancing your budget this year. And happy shopping!
